I just finished looking at The Skinny Taste Cookbook by Gina Homolka and am plesantly excited to use some of her recipes. Most of her recipes, to be honest. With the new year comes plenty of resolutions to lose weight, exercise more, and to be all around healthier. This is pretty hard to do without the proper determination. Gina does an informative intro where she discusses how to redo your pantry and available ingredients to make things healthier.
Another excellent aspect of this book is that the ingredients used are not anything exotic or hard to find. It is really a different way of using ingredients. There are recipes for just about any “course” for a meal as well as breakfast options, which really makes it easy to customize the daily menu into those ideas.
The entire book comes with a detailed list of caloric intake and serving sizes, which can be nice to identify how the different foods can be put together to create entire meals that are healthy and still lower in calories. I will be using this for my regular menu planning often.
I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
